How to format a Computer?

Now no need to pay technicians to format your computer.Yes guys, system formatting is a very easy process and you do not need any so called 'expert' to do this.Just follow this step by step guide and make sure that every step is completed successfully. It will take 20-25 minutes to complete. You will need a bootable OS disk(Windows),your motherboard driver.Lets begin:
1.Create a back up drive or back up disk:
Formatting is nothing but deleting all files in your old OS and then installing a new one.For an example if you are using windows 7 and want to format your system and install a new copy of windows 7,then after formatting you will lose all your previous data from windows directory.this is the main reason to have a back up.So before starting the process, create a back up drive. It may be in your computer(but not in the system directory, because after formatting all files in this directory will be deleted) or you can create a back up disk as per your need.Just copy the the necessary files to your back up drive or disk. Now you are all set to move on.
2.Insert the bootable OS disk to dvd drive
Insert the OS disk(here I will show installing windows 7) to your dvd drive and restart the computer. After restarting you will see a black window like below.

Make sure that primary boot device is set to dvd drive.Otherwise enter in your BIOS and change the boot priority to dvd(generally it is set to dvd drive. If it is not set to your dvd drive, you can not format using dvd). Now as mentioned on the screen, press any key to begin.
3.Chose your preferences
After pressing the key you will see windows files are loading and after a few time you will be prompted to chose your language, keyboard input method, time and currency format etc in a window like below:

Select the your preference and click next.Till now your previous version of windows files are not deleted.
4.Begin the installation and accept terms and conditions
After step 3 a blue window with windows 7 logo will open and you have to click on the 'INSTALL' button. After clicking install a 'Terms and Condition' page will open and you have to accept it.
5.Chose your installation type
In this step,a window will open where you will be prompted to chose your installation type. Two types are there. One is 'Upgrade' and another one is 'Custom(advanced)' .I recommend you to select custom(advanced),because through this a new copy of windows will be installed. The window is like below:

After selection the setup will start.
5.Choose the installation directory
This step is very important. In this step you will decide the new windows directory. In this new window(you will have the option by which hard disk partition can be made)you can format your hard drive by clicking on the drive to be formatted>drive options>format. As you are going to install a new copy of windows, you have to format the directory you have chosen as new windows directory. It is recommend that the directory chosen for new OS is same as old OS directory. Now after successful formatting click on the chosen drive and hit next.
